Virus Infections
Viruses are known to most people as arguably the worst type of infection that a computer system can get hit with. This in reality is most certainly the truth as this type of infection is made to cause permanent damage to whatever system it can get into.
Many internet users confuse a virus with other categories of malware like adware and spyware. They are in every way different from adware or spyware simply because they can replicate, copy and infect other systems and once they are on a computer they will be able to corrupt various system files, remove data and manipulate system configuration data. Viruses can also infect a computer through USB, DVD or floppy disk drives which contain malicious files.
One thing to point out with computer virus infections is that it might not be so obvious that your computer has been attacked by one due to lack of notable symptoms. This however, once again outlines how important it is for just about every computer to use internet security software and run system scans on a frequent basis. This will make sure that any infection will get removed immediately and will prevent them from going unnoticed on your system which will cause many problem down the road.
